Growing stores, one honest take at a time.

Northbeam alternatives for multi-store brands

Northbeam’s pricing page says international or multi-store setups go through its sales team. Its Starter plan, listed at $1,500 a month, is described as month-to-month pricing for Shopify brands, and the global or geo-specific dashboards sit on Enterprise. So a brand with three regional stores, or a holding company with four brands, should expect a quoted contract on annual terms rather than a published price.

That is reasonable for a large group. For a mid-size brand that added a Canada store and a wholesale storefront, it is often more than needed. Three things matter when comparing alternatives. Whether you can see every store together and each one on its own, how currency and time zones are handled, and how pricing counts your stores. Here is how five options handle that.

1. Polar Analytics

Polar Analytics is built for this. It rolls every store into one view while letting you drill into each, pulls in marketplaces like Amazon Seller Central, and stores it all in a dedicated Snowflake database, per its pricing page. Its connector directory also includes cross-border tools such as Global-e. Polar’s pricing is not listed on the website, so you will need a demo for the number. It is the strongest roll-up option here.

2. Triple Whale

Triple Whale says every paid plan includes unlimited users and connects as many stores as needed, with multi-brand reporting listed as part of Enterprise. Paid plans are priced by annual GMV on 12-month terms. Ask whether GMV from all stores is combined for your price band, since that decides the bill more than anything else.

3. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric is an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) It treats each store as its own project priced on that store’s monthly pageviews, so a small expansion store costs a fraction of the flagship rather than inheriting its tier. Pricing starts at $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews with every feature on every plan, and you switch between stores in one login. Each store reports in one currency you choose. Because each store is set up on its own, a group can run a Shopify DTC store and a Magento or WooCommerce store side by side. Ask on the demo how group-level reporting works for your setup.

4. Peel Insights

Peel Insights connects several Shopify or Amazon stores on one account, with the store allowance rising across its order-volume tiers. It is a retention tool first, which suits a multi-brand group asking which store’s customers come back. Pricing starts at $199 a month on its Shopify listing.

5. Wicked Reports

Wicked Reports adds currency conversion and international time zone loading on its Scale plan, $699 a month under $2.5 million in revenue. Its help docs allow one Shopify store and one WooCommerce store per account, so a group with several Shopify stores needs separate accounts or a conversation with its team about complex setups. Ask how revenue bands apply across accounts.

Two multi-store traps

The first is the customer who buys from two stores. Some tools count that person as new in each, which inflates group new-customer counts and makes blended CAC look better than it is. Decide which answer your finance team wants, then ask each vendor how it handles it.

The second is time zones. A UK store loaded on US Eastern time puts evening orders on the next day, and day-over-day comparisons across stores stop meaning much. Pull one week from your second-largest store and reconcile orders and settled revenue by hand before you trust any group view.
