Growing stores, one honest take at a time.

Triple Whale alternatives for international and multi-currency brands

International brands rarely leave Triple Whale over a missing feature. They leave over the math. When a store sells in six currencies, runs ad accounts in three, and settles in one, every attribution tool has to pick an exchange rate, a time zone and a reporting currency. Those choices decide whether your blended ROAS means anything. Triple Whale prices by annual GMV on 12-month terms, so before signing, ask how it converts currencies, which rate it uses, and how GMV is counted when you run several regional stores.

The tools below handle currency and regions in different ways. None is perfect, and the right one depends on whether you want one consolidated number or a per-market view.

1. Wicked Reports

Wicked Reports puts currency conversion and international time zone data loading on its Scale plan. Under $2.5 million in annual revenue, Scale is $699 a month against $499 for Measure. The time zone piece is easy to overlook and often matters more. If data loads on US Eastern time and your second market is Australia, a share of orders land on the wrong day, and every day-over-day comparison drifts. Wicked’s help center also has a guide for setting up multiple currencies.

2. Littledata

Littledata is server-side tracking rather than attribution, but its Plus plan adds multi-store rollups and multi-currency, which international Shopify brands with regional stores often need first. Plus is $990 a month with 10,000 orders included, or $9,504 a year, per its Shopify App Store listing. It makes sure GA4 and the ad platforms receive clean purchase data from every store. You still read channel performance elsewhere.

3. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric is an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) It takes the consolidated approach. You set one store currency, and ad spend and revenue report in that currency. For a brand that runs one set of books, that is usually the view leadership wants. If you need each market side by side in local currency, it is not built for that. Pricing starts at $99 a month based on pageviews, with multi-touch attribution, server-side tracking and surveys included. Its back-end order connection picks up refunds and cancellations, which matters where cross-border return rates run higher.

4. Polar Analytics

Polar Analytics rolls several stores into one view while letting you drill into each, and its connector directory includes Global-e for cross-border orders and Zonos for international duties and shipping. Everything lands in a dedicated Snowflake database, so an analyst can define currency logic once. Polar’s pricing is not listed on the website. It suits a multi-region brand that wants one governed dataset more than a simple dashboard.

5. Google Analytics 4

GA4 is free and handles multiple currencies by converting transactions using the previous day’s exchange rate into one property currency. Google’s own documentation acknowledges small discrepancies from this. In practice I see a percent or two of drift against internal numbers, which is fine for a cross-check and not fine for a multi-market P&L.

The reconciliation test

Take one week of orders from a single non-home market and reconcile three numbers by hand. The order total in the customer’s currency, the amount that settled in your bank, and what the tool reports. If the tool converts at a daily rate and your processor settles at its own rate, you will never get an exact match. That is fine as long as the gap is small and stable from week to week.

Then set every platform in the stack to the same time zone, or at least document which one each uses. It is the least interesting fix available and it settles more international reporting arguments than anything else. Earlier notes on this are in attribution tools for international and multi-currency brands and Triple Whale alternatives for multi-store brands.

Picking one

  • Want currency conversion and correct time zones in your attribution? Wicked Reports on Scale.
  • Running regional Shopify stores and need clean tracking from each? Littledata Plus.
  • Want one consolidated currency view on any major platform? ThoughtMetric (our sponsor).
  • Want a governed multi-store dataset with cross-border connectors? Polar Analytics.
  • Need a free cross-check? GA4, with its exchange-rate drift in mind.
