BigCommerce brands that look at Northbeam run into the same two facts. There is no native BigCommerce app, so orders come in through Northbeam’s Server API, which its docs say must be built alongside its pixel with matching customer and order IDs. And the $1,500 Starter plan is described as month-to-month pricing for Shopify brands, while other platforms go to Professional or Enterprise on annual terms.
None of that makes Northbeam a bad fit for a large BigCommerce brand with engineers and serious spend. It does mean a $3 million BigCommerce store is paying for setup and terms built for someone bigger. These five are worth pricing first.
1. Triple Whale
Triple Whale launched a BigCommerce integration in August 2024, announced as a beta. It has a free plan, and paid plans are priced by annual GMV on 12-month terms. Its strengths are dashboards, creative reporting and the Moby AI assistant. Since BigCommerce support came years after Shopify, ask which attribution and pixel features run the same way on BigCommerce before you sign the annual term.
2. Wicked Reports
Wicked Reports has a native BigCommerce connection that pulls your entire order history and chains subscriptions managed inside BigCommerce. You add its tracking code to your storefront pages separately. It is the deepest option here on lifetime value and cohorts. Under $2.5 million in annual revenue, Measure is $499 a month, Scale is $699 and Maximize is $999, and higher revenue bands cost more. Its data refreshes once a day, which is fine for weekly budget calls and less useful during a flash sale.
3. Hyros
Hyros works on any platform and tracks buyers across ads, email and phone calls. You get a quote after a setup call, priced on the revenue it tracks. BigCommerce stores that sell to businesses, or sell products where a rep closes the deal, get more from its call tracking than a pure DTC store would.
4. Google Analytics 4
GA4 is free, connects to BigCommerce, and uses data-driven attribution by default. Meta and TikTok spend has to be imported, and it reads sessions rather than customers. Keep it as a reference point next to any paid tool.
5. ThoughtMetric
ThoughtMetric is an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores, with BigCommerce as a direct integration. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) Multi-touch attribution, server-side tracking and post-purchase surveys are on every plan. Pricing is based on monthly pageviews, from $99 a month for 50,000, with monthly or annual billing. Compared with Northbeam you give up view-through modeling and media mix modeling. You also skip the Server API build and the annual contract.
BigCommerce setups worth asking about
Multi-storefront is the first one. If you run several storefronts from one BigCommerce account, ask each vendor whether it reports them separately, blends them, or lets you choose. A blended view hides the storefront that is losing money behind the one that is not.
B2B orders are the second. BigCommerce is popular with brands that sell wholesale from the same catalog. Wholesale orders rarely come from ads, so if they flow into your attribution tool they show up as direct or organic revenue and make your paid channels look weaker than they are. Ask how to filter by customer group, and test it with a real wholesale order during the trial.
The third is checkout. If you use a custom or embedded checkout, place a test order through it and confirm the source carries through. A tool that only sees the default checkout will undercount without telling you.
The wider field is in best attribution tools for BigCommerce stores, and the Shopify-side comparison is in Northbeam competitors for Shopify brands.
