Polar Analytics alternatives for creative analytics

Polar Analytics treats creative as one more dataset in its BI workspace. Its site has a creative solution page, and its connector directory includes design and creative tools like Canva, Figma, Arcads and AdCreative.ai, so creative output can sit next to revenue, retention and margin with shared definitions. For a team with someone who builds reports, that is useful. For a media buyer who wants a ranked list of winning ads every morning, it is a lot of setup, and Polar’s pricing is not listed on the website.

Before comparing alternatives, split the job in two. Creative strategy is about patterns, such as which hooks and formats work and what to brief next. Creative measurement is about outcomes, meaning which ads produced orders and new customers once you stop taking the ad platform’s word for it. The tools below lean one way or the other.

1. Motion

Motion is the strategy tool. It groups ads by concept, hook or format using tags, so a creative team can see patterns across hundreds of ads instead of reading rows. Its performance numbers come from the ad platforms, so it shows what Meta or TikTok credited each ad with rather than an independent read. Check Motion’s own pricing page before budgeting, since I could not confirm a current figure there.

2. Triple Whale

Triple Whale includes creative analysis across platforms on its paid Foundation plan and offers a views-based attribution model, which helps video creative get fair credit. Its Automate plan adds Creative Studio for generating variations of winning ads. Paid plans are priced by annual GMV on 12-month terms. It is the closest platform-style alternative to Polar with a ready-made creative view.

3. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric is an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) It ranks every ad across connected platforms by ROAS, sales and CPA from its own attribution, with a toggle between video and image ads, and each ad can be read on new-customer orders as well as total sales. Survey answers feed the model. Pricing is based on monthly pageviews from $99 a month, with every feature on every plan. It does not model view-through conversions, so video-heavy accounts should keep that in mind.

4. Northbeam

Northbeam lists creative analytics alongside its attribution, and its Clicks + Modeled Views model is described in its docs as useful for ranking ads within a channel. For accounts where most spend is video and social, that view-aware ranking is the main reason to pay for it. Starter is listed at $1,500 a month, described as month-to-month for Shopify brands.

5. Native platform reports

Meta Ads Manager and TikTok’s ads manager both break results down by ad at no cost. Each platform grades its own work and counts view-through conversions generously, and neither can see your other channels. For a brand spending most of its budget on one platform with a strict naming convention, native reports go further than people expect, as long as totals are checked against the store.

How I read a creative report

I sort by cost per new customer, not ROAS. Ads that mostly reach past buyers post the best ROAS in the account and acquire almost nobody. I also set a minimum spend filter, because the top of any sorted list is full of ads that spent forty dollars and got lucky.

Then I look at performance by week since launch. A creative that led the account in its first two weeks is rarely the leader in its sixth, and frequency climbs well before ROAS falls. A single lifetime number hides that decline. About

Six years in e-commerce. Three Shopify stores across different niches, one scaled past seven figures. I’ve tested hundreds of ad creatives, obsessed over email flows, and learned more from my failures than my wins.

Now I focus on conversion optimization, retention marketing, and the analytics behind it all. This blog is where I share what actually works, backed by real numbers. No fluff, no guru energy.
