Growing stores, one honest take at a time.

Triple Whale alternatives for Magento stores

If you run Magento or Adobe Commerce, Triple Whale is a short conversation. Its integrations page lists Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and Stripe as store and payment sources, plus marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart. Magento is not on it. You could try to route orders in some other way, but you would be building a workaround for a tool that prices by annual GMV and puts paid plans on 12-month terms. That is a lot of commitment for a connection the vendor does not list.

Magento stores also tend to be the ones with the most custom code, the heaviest caching and the most store views under one install. Those details break more attribution setups than the platform itself does. Here are five tools that work with Magento, with notes on how much setup each one needs.

1. Wicked Reports

Wicked Reports lists Magento 2 among its revenue integrations, next to Shopify, WooCommerce and BigCommerce, and offers an orders API for anything it does not connect to natively. It is built around lifetime value, so even its entry tier includes cohort reports with lifetime lookback. Under $2.5 million in annual revenue, Measure is $499 a month, Scale is $699 and Maximize is $999. Scale adds API integrations for carts and CRMs and currency conversion, which Magento stores selling in several currencies will want.

2. Northbeam

Northbeam handles Magento through its Server API. Your developers send every historical and new order to its endpoint, and its pixel has to pass matching customer and order IDs so the two sides line up. That is real engineering work, though Magento teams usually have the people for it. The catch is the plan. Northbeam lists Starter at $1,500 a month for Shopify brands on month-to-month terms, and stores on other platforms are pointed to Professional or Enterprise, which run on annual terms. Budget for the higher tier from the start.

3. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric is an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores, and Magento is one of its direct integrations. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) It includes multi-touch attribution, server-side tracking and post-purchase surveys on every plan, with no feature tiers. Pricing is based on monthly pageviews, starting at $99 a month for 50,000, billed monthly or annually. It does not do view-through modeling, media mix modeling or call tracking, so a Magento store with a large phone sales team should check that gap first.

4. Hyros

Hyros is platform-agnostic and leans on call tracking and long-cycle lead attribution. Its pricing page routes you to a setup call for a quote based on tracked revenue. For Magento stores selling expensive or configured products where a rep closes the sale, that focus is useful. For a store selling $40 orders with no sales team, most of what you pay for goes unused.

5. Stape

Stape is not an attribution tool. It hosts server-side Google Tag Manager, which works on any platform, Magento included. Its pricing page lists a free plan up to 10,000 requests a month, Pro at $20 for 500,000 and Business at $100 for 5 million. It belongs on this list because a lot of Magento stores lose conversions to caching and ad blockers before attribution even starts, and Stape fixes the data going to Meta and Google. You still need one of the four above to decide where budget goes.

Magento details to check before you sign

Full-page caching is the first thing I test. Varnish or a CDN cache can serve a stale page where the tracking script never loads, or loads without the customer ID it needs. Place a test order with caching on, the way real customers see the site, rather than in a staging environment with caching turned off.

Second, check store views. If one Magento install runs several brands, regions or currencies, ask each vendor whether it treats them as separate stores, one store, or something you configure. The wrong answer blends your EU and US numbers into one ROAS that describes neither. Third, check order statuses. Magento stores often have custom statuses for fraud review or backorders, and you want to know which ones count as revenue in the tool.

Broader lists are in Magento analytics tools and multi-touch attribution tools for e-commerce, by store platform.
