Northbeam’s pricing page leads with attribution: first-party multi-touch attribution, Clicks plus Deterministic Views, Northbeam Apex for feeding first-party data back to ad algorithms, and omnichannel dashboards. Starter is listed from $1,500 a month for brands spending under $1.5 million a year on ads, with month-to-month, usage-based billing for Shopify brands, and Professional is listed at $3,500 a month on annual terms. That is a strong product for deciding where the next dollar of ad spend goes. It is not the product I would choose if lifetime value is the number the business actually runs on.
The useful split is between two questions. Cohort tools tell you how customers acquired in a given month behave over time: how many come back, how fast, and how much they spend. LTV attribution tools tell you which channels bring in customers worth having, measured over months instead of days. Most brands need both, and few tools are good at both. Here are five that cover the range.
1. Peel Insights
Peel Insights is a retention platform first. It covers cohort curves, repurchase rates, churn, customer audiences, and RFM analysis, plus subscription analytics for Recharge, Skio, and other subscription apps. It pushes daily and weekly reports to Slack or email. Pricing is based on monthly order volume with the same features on every plan, starting at $199 a month on its Shopify listing.
2. Lifetimely
Lifetimely by AMP is the most established dedicated LTV app on Shopify, with cohort tables, repurchase rate, time between orders, and a daily profit and loss view. Paid plans include an MCP connection for working with the data in an AI assistant. Pricing is based on monthly orders: free up to 50, $79 a month up to 500, $149 up to 3,000, and $299 up to 7,000, with a 14-day trial on paid plans.
3. Wicked Reports
Wicked Reports is the one that connects the two questions. It credits repeat orders back to the original acquisition source with lifetime lookback and lookforward, so a campaign is judged on what its customers spend over months. Cohort and LTV reports are on its entry plan. Its pricing follows annual revenue bands, and up to $2.5M, Measure is $499 a month, Scale is $699, and Maximize is $999.
4. Triple Whale
Triple Whale bundles cohort analysis, a segment builder, and product analysis with product-level LTV into its Foundation plan, next to multi-touch attribution. Foundation is listed at $219 a month on its Shopify listing, actual pricing depends on annual GMV, and its pricing page says paid plans are 12-month subscriptions. For a team that wants attribution and retention reporting in one login and is comfortable with a 12-month term, it is the broadest single option.
5. ThoughtMetric
ThoughtMetric approaches LTV from the acquisition side. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) Its customer analytics show LTV by acquisition channel, new versus returning revenue for every campaign, and how many touchpoints and how long customers take to convert, all built on the same attribution data it uses for ROAS. Pricing is based on monthly pageviews, starting at $99 a month for 50,000, with every feature on every plan and monthly billing. It is not a cohort retention tool, so brands that live in month-by-month retention curves will want Peel or Lifetimely next to it.
The bridge Northbeam users usually miss
Northbeam users are used to judging ads on short windows, often one-day click, because that is what keeps daily optimization responsive. The risk is that the account slowly tilts toward whatever converts fastest, which is often the cheapest product, the deepest discount, or the audience that was going to buy anyway. None of that shows up until the cohort curves flatten six months later.
The fix is to keep two numbers side by side. Use short-window, new-customer CAC by channel to run the account day to day, and check it monthly against 90-day or 180-day revenue per acquired customer by the same channel. When those two rankings disagree, the long one wins on budget, and the short one wins on tactics. In practice that means a monthly export of new customers by acquisition channel, joined to their later orders, which any of the cohort tools above can produce without a data team. It takes an hour to set up and it changes budget conversations more than any model setting. I explained how to read the curves without fooling yourself in reading LTV and cohort curves, and the math is in how to calculate LTV for a Shopify store.
