Growing stores, one honest take at a time.

Northbeam alternatives that offer MCP

Northbeam now has an MCP server. Its documentation describes connecting it to ChatGPT with your normal Northbeam login, after which the assistant can pull live data from your Northbeam dashboards, and any client that supports remote MCP servers can use the same address. That is a real change from a few months ago, when I could not find an official connector on Northbeam’s site at all.

The limit is the plan. Northbeam’s documentation says its MCP is available to Pro and Enterprise customers, so Starter, listed from $1,500 a month, does not include it. A brand that wants to ask Claude or ChatGPT about its attribution data needs to be on a higher tier than the entry price suggests. These five alternatives publish their own connectors, checked against vendor documentation rather than directory listings. I ran the same exercise for Triple Whale in Triple Whale alternatives that offer MCP.

Triple Whale

Triple Whale’s MCP is a read-only connection for Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, n8n, and other MCP clients, set up through an OAuth sign-in where supported or an MCP Read API key where not. Its help center lists it on Foundation, Automate, and Enterprise. Foundation starts at $219 a month on its Shopify listing, scaling with GMV on a 12-month subscription, so the connector is available well below Northbeam’s Pro tier. The trade is that Triple Whale’s attribution does not model ad views the way Northbeam’s does.

ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric calls its connector AI Connectors, built on MCP, and includes it on every plan. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) The connector answers from a catalog of defined metrics and dimensions, so new-customer ROAS by ad or MER by week resolves against a set definition rather than an assistant improvising the math. Dimensions go down to individual ad, SKU, product, discount code, and country. Pricing starts at $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews, with monthly billing and a 14-day trial. Like Triple Whale, it does not model view-through conversions the way Northbeam does, which matters for heavy video prospecting.

Polar Analytics

Polar Analytics documents official connectors for Claude and ChatGPT and answers through a semantic layer with governed metric definitions, which is the most careful architecture of the group. It also covers more data sources, including marketplaces. Pricing is not listed on the website, so you will need a demo to get a number.

Lifetimely

Lifetimely includes a Lifetimely MCP on its paid plans, with LTV, cohort, repurchase, and profit data behind it. It does not do the multi-touch attribution Northbeam is known for, so it is a complement rather than a replacement for most Northbeam customers. Paid plans start at $79 a month for up to 500 orders, then $149 for up to 3,000 and $299 for up to 7,000. If your assistant questions are about which customers are worth acquiring rather than which ads acquired them, it is the cheapest connector here.

AgencyAnalytics

AgencyAnalytics is for agencies running reporting across many clients. Its Core plan at $20 per client per month billed annually includes MCP access for ChatGPT and Claude, so an account manager can ask questions across client data from one assistant. It reports platform numbers rather than independent attribution, so it does not do Northbeam’s job, but for agencies the connector is the most affordable way to bring client reporting into an assistant.

Questions before you connect

Ask each vendor whether the connector is read-only, whether it authorizes through a revocable sign-in or a pasted key, and whether it answers from defined metrics. Also check what your AI tool requires. Northbeam’s own ChatGPT guide notes that adding a custom connector needs a paid ChatGPT plan, and team workspaces may need an admin to add the connector first. I covered the security side in is it safe to connect your analytics to an AI assistant?.

And if you are already on Northbeam Pro or Enterprise, use the connector you are paying for. Switching attribution platforms costs you your pixel history, which is a much bigger loss than a connector is a gain.
