Klar alternatives for e-commerce attribution and profit reporting

Klar is a German attribution and profitability platform with a strong following among European DTC brands. Its pricing page lists two plans. Core, which covers profitability, retention, and acquisition reporting, starts at €200 a month. Core plus Attribution, which adds Klar’s first-party tracking pixel and its full attribution suite, starts at €400 a month. Both are priced on your last 12 months of net revenue, recalculated every three months on monthly billing or every 12 months on annual. There is no minimum contract and a 14-day trial. It connects to Shopify, Shopware, Magento, WooCommerce, Centra, and Amazon, and hosts data in Europe.

That is a fair deal for many brands, and Klar itself says it makes most sense once you pass €1M in net revenue. The reasons I hear for looking elsewhere usually fall into three groups. You are a US brand and the European focus does not matter to you. You want attribution without the profit layer. Or the revenue-based price is rising faster than the value. Here is where I would look.

1. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this blog, is the closest fit if attribution is what you mainly use Klar for. It prices on pageviews instead of net revenue, starting at $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews, or $83 billed annually, with every feature on every plan. It covers multi-touch attribution with five models, a configurable lookback window, post-purchase surveys, server-side tracking, and CAPI for Meta and Google, on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, and custom stores. If Klar’s contribution margin and P&L reports are what your finance team lives in, confirm that whatever replaces Klar covers them before you switch.

2. Triple Whale

Triple Whale is the obvious alternative for US Shopify brands. It has a free plan, and its Shopify listing shows Foundation from $219 a month and Automate from $749. Like Klar, the price scales with revenue, in this case annual GMV, but unlike Klar the paid plans are 12-month subscriptions. You get the Triple Pixel, multi-touch attribution, creative and product analytics, and Moby, its AI agent, along with a lot more surface area than Klar. If you want one platform for nearly everything and your team will use it, that is a reasonable move. If you left Klar to simplify, it is the wrong one. I covered its pricing in how much does Triple Whale cost and its own alternatives in best Triple Whale alternatives.

3. Admetrics

Admetrics is the other German option, and the one I would compare most directly with Klar if you want to stay with an EU-hosted vendor. It prices on ad spend rather than revenue. Its pricing page lists Growth at €339 a month with €20,000 of monthly ad spend included, Business at €764 with €70,000 included, and custom plans from €1,100, with 15 percent off for annual billing and a 21-day trial. It covers multi-touch and data-driven attribution, order-level journeys and P&L, budget management, and MCP access, with marketing mix modeling as an add-on on the custom tier. For a brand with high revenue and moderate ad spend, an ad-spend meter can come out cheaper than a revenue-based one.

4. Polar Analytics

Polar Analytics fits teams that want more of a data platform than Klar offers, with room to build custom metrics and dashboards on top of store and ad data. Its pricing is not listed on the website, so you will need a demo to get a number. I would only go this way if someone on your team actually wants to build and maintain reporting, because that is where Polar earns its keep.

5. Tracify

Tracify is another German attribution vendor, and it is narrower than Klar. Its product is built around server-side tracking and its own AI behavior-based attribution model, alongside first, last, linear, and U-shape models, and it is GDPR-compliant. Its pricing page says plans start at €500 a month, with a demo call to scope your setup. If attribution is the only thing you need and you want an EU vendor, it is worth a demo. If you relied on Klar for profit reporting, plan to cover that somewhere else. I compared its competitors in Tracify alternatives.

Picking one

  • Mostly use Klar for attribution and want a non-revenue meter? ThoughtMetric (sponsor).
  • US Shopify brand that wants one platform for attribution, creative, and AI? Triple Whale.
  • Want to stay EU-hosted and pay on ad spend instead of revenue? Admetrics.
  • Have someone who will build and maintain custom reporting? Polar Analytics.
  • Want an attribution specialist and do not need profit reporting? Tracify.
  • Selling heavily through Amazon, Shopware, or Centra and happy with the profit reports? Klar may still be your best fit.

  1. Admetrics alternatives for Shopify attribution and reporting – The Ecomm Analyst Avatar

[…] Klar is the most direct alternative, and the comparison mostly comes down to the meter. Klar charges on your last 12 months of net revenue rather than ad spend. Core starts at €200 a month, and Core plus Attribution, which adds its first-party pixel and attribution suite, starts at €400. There is no minimum contract, a 14-day trial, and data is hosted in Europe. Klar leans further into profitability and retention reporting, including COGS and margin detail, while Admetrics leans further into budget allocation and testing. If you expect spend to grow faster than revenue, Klar’s meter will usually treat you better. I covered Klar’s own competitors in Klar alternatives. […]

About

Six years in e-commerce. Three Shopify stores across different niches, one scaled past seven figures. I’ve tested hundreds of ad creatives, obsessed over email flows, and learned more from my failures than my wins.

Now I focus on conversion optimization, retention marketing, and the analytics behind it all. This blog is where I share what actually works, backed by real numbers. No fluff, no guru energy.
