The Best Attribution Tools for Lighting Brands

Lighting is a considered purchase. A pendant or a floor lamp often costs a few hundred dollars, buyers compare finishes and sizes across several visits, and a lot of them are designing a whole room, so the first touch might be a Pinterest pin and the last a branded Google search two weeks later. Interior designers and trade accounts add orders that often close by email or phone, and breakage and returns can quietly eat into channel ROAS.

So the tools that fit handle long lookbacks, credit inspiration channels, and let you measure on net revenue. Here’s my ranking. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric, ranked first, sponsors this site.)

1. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this site, integrates natively with Google Ads, including Shopping, plus Pinterest, Meta, Bing, and TikTok, and attributes revenue at the campaign and ad level. Post-purchase survey answers feed its multi-touch model, which helps credit the pin or Instagram post that started a room project. It’s an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and custom stores. Pricing starts at $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews, with every feature on every plan.

2. Northbeam

Northbeam fits lighting brands spending heavily across Meta, Google, and Pinterest at once, and its Clicks + Deterministic Views model credits ads people watched or scrolled past without clicking. Starter is listed from $1,500 a month for brands spending under $1.5 million a year on ads, month to month for Shopify brands. Professional is $3,500 a month on annual terms and adds support for any e-commerce platform.

3. Wicked Reports

Wicked Reports keeps the original touch on record however long the buyer takes, and its CRM integrations help when trade orders close outside the storefront. Measure is $499 a month for brands under $2.5 million in revenue, with Scale at $699 and Maximize at $999.

4. Triple Whale

Triple Whale puts attribution, creative analytics, and product analytics in one Shopify suite, which helps when you’re testing finishes and collections in ads. Foundation is listed from $219 a month on its Shopify listing and is priced by annual GMV. The free plan covers first and last click with a 12-month lookback.

5. Fairing

Fairing can ask whether a buyer found you through Pinterest, a designer, a showroom, or an ad, which says more about inspiration channels than last-click data does. It’s free up to 200 orders a month, then $49 up to 500 and $99 up to 1,000.

What lighting brands should measure

Set the lookback from your own days-to-purchase data, often 14 to 30 days for statement pieces. Measure channels on revenue after returns and breakage. Tag trade and designer orders separately so they don’t inflate whichever channel the designer’s assistant clicked last. And look at rolling 30-day numbers, since order counts are small and daily ROAS swings. See attribution tools for home decor and wall art brands, attribution for long purchase cycles, and attribution tools and refunds.

FAQs

How long should my attribution window be?

Match it to your days-to-purchase data. Lighting buyers often take two to four weeks for bigger pieces.

How do I handle designer and trade orders?

Tag them as their own channel or customer group so they don’t skew ad ROAS.

Does Pinterest really drive lighting sales?

Often, but mostly through saves and later searches. A survey answer is the clearest check.

What’s the cheapest setup?

ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this site, at $99 a month or Triple Whale’s free plan, plus Fairing’s free tier.
