Growing stores, one honest take at a time.

The Best Attribution Tools for Home Cleaning Product Brands

Cleaning brands sell something people run out of. That makes refills and subscriptions the core of the business, and refill orders usually arrive through email, SMS, or a subscription app rather than an ad. Many brands also sell on Amazon and in retail, so DTC ads move sales your site never sees. And the category runs on demonstration, with before-and-after videos on TikTok and Meta doing much of the selling.

So the tools that fit separate first orders from refills, report lifetime value by channel, and help you see the halo outside your store. Here’s my ranking. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric, ranked first, sponsors this site.)

1. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this site, integrates natively with Meta, TikTok, Google Ads, Pinterest, and Bing Ads, and folds post-purchase survey answers into its multi-touch model. LTV by channel shows which sources bring in customers who keep reordering, and product-level reporting separates starter kits from refills. It doesn’t track Amazon or retail sales, so brands with a big Amazon business will want a second view of that. It’s an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and custom stores. Pricing starts at $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews, with every feature on every plan.

2. Triple Whale

Triple Whale pulls Amazon data in alongside Shopify and ad platforms, works with Recharge, and includes subscription data and cohorts on Foundation. For brands splitting sales between their site and Amazon, that combined view is the main draw. Foundation is listed from $219 a month on its Shopify listing and is priced by annual GMV. The free plan covers first and last click with a 12-month lookback.

3. Peel Insights

Peel Insights connects Shopify and Amazon stores and subscription apps including Recharge, Skio, Smartrr, and Stay.ai, then builds cohort and repeat-purchase reporting on top. It’s the stronger choice for understanding refill behavior. It’s priced by monthly orders: Core starts at $179 a month billed annually or $199 month to month, Essentials at $449, and Accelerate at $809, with every feature on every plan and a 7-day free trial.

4. Wicked Reports

Wicked Reports keeps the original channel attached to a customer for life, so the ad that won a first order still gets credit for the tenth refill. Measure is $499 a month for brands under $2.5 million in revenue, with Scale at $699 and Maximize at $999.

5. Fairing

Fairing lets you add answer options like saw it in a store or a friend recommended it, which shows how much of your demand starts offline. It’s free up to 200 orders a month, then $49 up to 500 and $99 up to 1,000.

What cleaning brands should measure

Report first orders and refills separately, or email and SMS will look like growth channels when they’re mostly maintaining existing customers. Judge acquisition channels on 6 to 12 month revenue per customer, not first-order ROAS. When you raise or cut DTC spend, check Amazon and retail sales over the same weeks to estimate the halo. And keep subscription renewals out of channel ROAS entirely. See attribution tools for subscription brands, LTV by acquisition channel on Shopify, and attribution tools for supplement brands.

FAQs

Do DTC ads lift Amazon sales?

Often. The simplest check is to compare Amazon sales in weeks when you change DTC spend. Tools that pull Amazon data, like Triple Whale, make that easier.

Should refill orders count toward ad ROAS?

Not directly. Use first-order ROAS for acquisition and LTV by channel for the full picture.

Which tools handle subscription data?

Triple Whale works with Recharge, and Peel connects Recharge, Skio, Smartrr, and Stay.ai. ThoughtMetric, our sponsor, reports LTV by channel.

What’s the cheapest setup?

ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this site, at $99 a month or Triple Whale’s free plan, plus Fairing’s free tier.

How to choose

  • Choose Peel Insights to understand refill and subscription cohorts.
  • Choose Wicked Reports for lifetime lookback on repeat buyers.
