Polar Analytics alternatives for international and multi-currency brands

International reporting breaks in quiet ways. A store sells in five currencies, buys media in three and settles in one, and every tool has to choose an exchange rate, a time zone and a reporting currency. If those choices are not the same across your stack, blended ROAS stops meaning much and day-over-day numbers drift for reasons nobody can explain.

Polar Analytics handles this well for brands that want a governed dataset, with a dedicated Snowflake warehouse and cross-border connectors such as Global-e. Its pricing is not listed on the website. If you mainly need attribution that is consistent across markets, these five are worth comparing.

1. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric is an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) It takes the consolidated approach: you set one store currency and ad spend and revenue report in it, which is usually what finance and leadership want. You can still break results down by country, so a market lead can see their region without a separate model. If you need every market in its own local currency side by side, it is not built for that. Pricing starts at $99 a month based on pageviews, with every feature on every plan.

2. Wicked Reports

Wicked Reports is the most explicit about this. Currency conversion and international time zone data loading are on its Scale plan, which is $699 a month under $2.5 million in revenue, against $499 for Measure. Its pricing FAQ says Scale and above cover multiple stores and currencies. The time zone piece matters more than people expect. If data loads on US Eastern and your second market is Australia, some orders land on the wrong day.

3. Triple Whale

Triple Whale says it offers unlimited users and integrates with as many stores as needed on paid plans, and its help center lists multi-brand and multi-region capabilities on Enterprise, which it generally recommends for brands above $10 million in GMV. Pricing is based on annual GMV and package, so ask how GMV is counted across stores and currencies before you get a quote.

4. Northbeam

Northbeam limits Starter to Shopify brands. Professional, at $3,500 a month for brands spending up to $500,000 a month on ads, adds integration with any e-commerce platform, which matters if your EU store runs on Magento and your US store on Shopify. Professional is an annual term. Ask in the demo how it converts currencies and which time zone it reports in.

5. Google Analytics 4

GA4 is free and converts transactions into one property currency using the previous day’s exchange rate. Expect small gaps against your books, which is fine for a cross-check.

The reconciliation test

Take one week of orders from a single non-home market and reconcile three numbers by hand: the order total in the customer’s currency, what settled in your bank, and what the tool reports. If the tool uses a daily rate and your processor settles at its own, they will never match exactly. That is fine if the gap is small and steady.

Then set every platform to the same time zone, or at least write down which each one uses. More in Northbeam alternatives for international and multi-currency brands and attribution tools for international and multi-currency brands.

FAQs

How do attribution tools handle multiple currencies?

Most convert everything into one reporting currency at a daily rate. A few keep markets in local currency. Ask which rate is used and whether spend and revenue are converted the same way.

Why do my international numbers drift day to day?

Usually time zones. If the store, ad accounts and attribution tool use different ones, orders near midnight land on different days in each.

Can I see attribution by country?

In most tools, yes. ThoughtMetric, our sponsor, has a country breakdown, Triple Whale lists multi-region capabilities on Enterprise, and Wicked Reports handles currency and time zones on Scale. Check whether ad spend is also split by country, or only revenue.

Is one consolidated currency enough?

For budget decisions and leadership reporting, usually. Regional teams that own their own spend may need local-currency views, which a warehouse or BI tool handles better.
