Polar Analytics is built on a store connection, and its one-click store connection is Shopify. Its connectors page lists Shopify alongside ad, email and marketplace sources as the native one-click set. BigCommerce is not in that set, so a BigCommerce store would go through Polar’s AI Data Engineer, which builds a connector from a tool’s API. Polar notes some connectors carry an additional cost depending on complexity, and its pricing is not listed on the website.
That route may work for you. Just know that every report in Polar rests on the store data, so the custom connector is not a side detail. Ask on the demo who maintains it, how refunds and B2B orders map, and whether the Polar Pixel attribution behaves the same way off Shopify. If you would rather start with BigCommerce as a standard connection, these five have one.
1. Triple Whale
Triple Whale is the closest product to Polar here, with dashboards, custom metrics, multi-store reporting and an AI assistant. It launched a BigCommerce integration in August 2024 as a beta. Its free plan lets you see your data, and paid plans are priced by annual GMV on 12-month terms. Ask which features run on BigCommerce at parity with Shopify before signing.
2. ThoughtMetric
ThoughtMetric is an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores, with BigCommerce as a direct integration. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) Multi-touch attribution, server-side tracking, post-purchase surveys, and product and customer reports are on every plan. Pricing is published, based on monthly pageviews from $99 a month for 50,000. It is narrower than Polar, with no data warehouse, no incrementality testing and no BI for finance data. If attribution is the part of Polar you wanted, it covers that.
3. Wicked Reports
Wicked Reports connects natively to BigCommerce, pulls your full order history and chains subscriptions managed in BigCommerce. Its cohort and LTV reporting overlaps with a large part of what Polar users look at weekly. Under $2.5 million in annual revenue, Measure is $499 a month, Scale is $699 and Maximize is $999. Data refreshes daily, so it is not the tool for intraday monitoring.
4. Northbeam
Northbeam takes BigCommerce orders through its Server API, built by your developers alongside its pixel. Starter at $1,500 a month is described as month-to-month pricing for Shopify brands, and other platforms are pointed to Professional or Enterprise on annual terms. It adds media mix modeling and view-based attribution, which matter only at high ad spend.
5. GA4 with BigQuery
GA4 is free, connects to BigCommerce, and exports raw events to BigQuery. If you liked Polar for owning your data in a warehouse, this is the free version of that idea. The cost is the analyst time to model it. As an attribution source on its own, it undercounts paid social.
Before you choose
Write down which Polar features you expected to use. Its pricing page lists business intelligence with multi-touch attribution, incrementality testing, Klaviyo audiences, conversion APIs for Meta and Google, and a headless MCP, all on top of a dedicated Snowflake database. If your list is one line long, a focused tool is cheaper and simpler. If it is five lines long, Polar or Triple Whale is the honest comparison.
Then test BigCommerce specifics on any trial. Place orders through every checkout path you run, compare a week of orders and refunds against BigCommerce, and confirm whether wholesale or B2B orders can be filtered. B2B orders counted as DTC revenue make your direct channel look like a star.
