Polar Analytics builds everything on top of your store connection. On Shopify that connection is one click. On Magento it is not. Polar’s connectors page names Shopify as its native commerce source and lists the other one-click connectors as ad, email and marketplace tools. Anything outside that list goes through its AI Data Engineer, which writes a connector from the tool’s API, and Polar notes some connectors carry extra cost depending on complexity.
Magento stores are often the most customized in e-commerce, with extensions, custom order statuses and several store views under one install. A generated connector has to get all of that right before a single dashboard is trustworthy. Polar’s pricing is not listed on the website, so ask on the demo how the Magento connection is built, who maintains it, and whether the Polar Pixel attribution works the same way off Shopify. If you would rather start from a standard Magento connection, here are five options.
1. Northbeam
Northbeam documents a Magento path through its Server API. Your team sends historical and new orders to its endpoint and fires its pixel with matching IDs. It is engineering work, but it is documented, and Magento brands usually have developers. Starter at $1,500 a month is described as month-to-month for Shopify brands, and other platforms go to Professional or Enterprise on annual terms. It fits Magento brands with large paid media budgets who want media mix modeling alongside attribution.
2. Wicked Reports
Wicked Reports lists Magento 2 among its native revenue integrations. Like Polar it leans on cohorts and lifetime value, so it covers a good share of what Polar users rely on day to day. Under $2.5 million in annual revenue, Measure is $499 a month, Scale is $699 and Maximize is $999. Scale adds currency conversion and international time zone handling, useful for Magento stores selling across regions.
3. Hyros
Hyros is platform-agnostic and focused on tracking buyers through ads, email and sales calls. Pricing is a quote after a setup call, based on tracked revenue. Magento stores selling configured or high-ticket products with a sales team get the most from it.
4. ThoughtMetric
ThoughtMetric is an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce and custom stores, and Magento is a direct integration. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) Multi-touch attribution, server-side tracking and post-purchase surveys come on every plan, and pricing is based on monthly pageviews, starting at $99 a month for 50,000. It does not include a data warehouse, incrementality testing or a general BI layer. If you wanted Polar for attribution, it covers that job. If you wanted Polar for a Snowflake warehouse, it does not.
5. Google Analytics 4 with BigQuery
GA4 is free and runs on Magento through an extension or tag manager. Its BigQuery export gives you raw event data in a warehouse you own, which is the nearest free stand-in for Polar’s Snowflake database. You write the models yourself, and that is the real cost. For Magento teams with an analyst on staff it is a serious option.
Magento checks before you commit
Start with store views. If one install runs several regions or brands, ask whether the tool separates them. Blended numbers across currencies produce a ROAS figure nobody can act on. Next, list your custom order statuses and ask which ones count as revenue. A fraud-review status counted as a sale inflates every channel during the week it happens.
Then test with caching on. Magento stores usually run full-page caching, and a tracking script that loads in staging can fail on cached production pages. Place a real order on the live site and confirm it arrives with the right source. If any vendor cannot tell you how its connection handles these three things, that answer is itself useful.
