ThoughtMetric and Lebesgue both show up on Shopify brands’ shortlists, but they start from opposite ends. Lebesgue is an analytics and advice layer, which it markets as an AI CMO, with attribution added through a separate pixel. ThoughtMetric is an attribution tool first, with reporting built around that. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric sponsors this site.) Which one fits depends on whether your main problem is knowing which ads drive sales or getting broader guidance on your store and your market.
How is each one priced?
Lebesgue splits its pricing in two. The analytics plans are a free tier, Ultimate at $79 a month, and Ultimate AI at $149 a month, and Lebesgue says analytics pricing is fixed no matter your size. Attribution comes from Le Pixel, sold separately with revenue-based pricing and layered on a paid analytics plan, so the number to compare is your analytics plan plus Le Pixel at your revenue band. At the time of writing, its pricing page is also advertising an early Black Friday discount on both.
ThoughtMetric prices on monthly pageviews, starting at $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews. There are no tiers or add-ons, every feature is on every plan, billing is monthly or annual with an 18 percent discount for annual, and there is a 14-day trial. For a store with modest traffic and high revenue, a pageview meter tends to come out lower than a revenue-based one. For a high-traffic, low-AOV store, the reverse can happen. Price both at your real numbers.
How do they compare on attribution?
Closely on the basics. Le Pixel includes first and last touch, four multi-touch models (full credit, linear, position-based, and time decay), plus Shapley value attribution and Lebesgue’s own model, with channel, campaign, and ad-level insights, first-time versus repeat customer views, and customer journeys. ThoughtMetric offers five models, first touch, last touch, linear paid, position based, and its own multi-touch model, with a configurable lookback window and reporting at the channel, campaign, ad set, and ad level. Both offer server-side tracking and send conversion data back to Meta.
The difference I would weigh most is surveys. ThoughtMetric folds post-purchase survey answers into its attribution model, which helps with channels pixels see poorly, like podcasts, influencers, and word of mouth. If those channels matter to you, that counts for more than the number of model options.
What does Lebesgue do that ThoughtMetric doesn’t?
The broader advisory layer. Lebesgue tracks competitors and previews their Meta ads, benchmarks your funnel against industry and market data, runs automated audits of your Meta, Google, and TikTok ad accounts, and includes Henri, its AI assistant. On Ultimate AI, Henri adds unlimited analysis, AI bid management and budget recommendations, ad copy suggestions, and tracking of how your brand appears in ChatGPT and AI search. Lebesgue also covers COGS and profit tracking, LTV and cohorts, and inventory. If you want one app that tells you what to do next across ads and merchandising, that breadth is the point.
Where is ThoughtMetric the better fit?
Depth on the attribution job, and platform coverage. ThoughtMetric runs on Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Magento, and custom stores, while Lebesgue is built for Shopify and WooCommerce and Le Pixel installs through the Shopify App Store. ThoughtMetric’s ad integrations also go past the major platforms to Snapchat, Criteo, AppLovin, and ChatGPT Ads, which I covered in ThoughtMetric’s new ad integrations, while Lebesgue’s pricing page lists ad cost tracking for Meta, Google, TikTok, Pinterest, Microsoft, and Klaviyo. ThoughtMetric’s AI connectors also let you query attribution data from Claude or ChatGPT. If your team already has its own view on strategy and wants clean numbers to act on, a narrower tool with fewer screens is easier to live with.
Which one should you pick?
Pick Lebesgue if you are a smaller Shopify brand without a dedicated analyst and the competitor intelligence, benchmarks, and AI recommendations would replace work nobody on your team has time for. The free tier makes it easy to try the analytics before paying for Le Pixel. Pick ThoughtMetric if attribution accuracy is the problem you are solving, you run channels pixels struggle with, or you are not on Shopify. Some brands run an analytics app like Lebesgue alongside a dedicated attribution tool, though at that point you are paying twice for the pixel layer.
Whichever you test, run it next to your current setup for a full purchase cycle and compare the numbers before you switch. I listed what I check in what I check before I trust a new attribution tool’s numbers, and the wider field is in Lebesgue alternatives.
