Adverity alternatives for marketing data integration

Adverity solves a real problem, just not one most DTC brands have. It pulls marketing data from several hundred sources, transforms it, and pushes the result into a warehouse or a BI tool. If you run a $3M Shopify store and someone recommended it to you, the first thing worth knowing is that Adverity does not publish pricing at all. The pricing page is a demo request form, and the company states plainly that it does not use fixed plans and builds a custom quote for every client.

That matters more than it sounds. I went looking for a number before writing this and found three different ones on three different comparison sites, ranging from $500 a month to $2,000 a month, none of which appear anywhere on Adverity’s own site. This is the normal state of affairs for enterprise data tools, and it is the main reason I only quote pricing I can find on a vendor’s own pricing page. If you are evaluating Adverity, budget for a sales cycle before you get a number.

The other thing to be honest about is scope. Adverity is a pipe. It moves data. It will not tell you which channel drove yesterday’s revenue, which is the question most operators are actually asking when they start shopping for a data tool. Several options below are pipes too. One is not, and that difference is usually the real decision.

1. Supermetrics

The closest like-for-like swap. Supermetrics does the same job of pulling ad platform and analytics data into a destination of your choosing, with a long connector list and a heavy presence in the agency world. It is meaningfully easier to get started with than Adverity, and it publishes tiers on its site rather than routing everyone through sales.

It lands in the same trap as Adverity, though. You still need somewhere for the data to go and someone to build reporting on top. Supermetrics moves rows. It does not model them.

2. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this blog, is the option on this list that skips the pipeline question entirely. Rather than moving marketing data somewhere for you to model, it connects to your ad platforms and your store and reports attributed revenue directly. For most brands under $20M, that is the actual goal, and the warehouse was only ever a means to it.

Pricing starts at $99 a month, based on pageviews, or $83 a month billed annually, with every feature at every tier and a 14 day free trial. It does not do what Adverity does. It is here because a large share of the people shopping for Adverity would be better served skipping the data infrastructure project entirely.

Where it is the wrong call is if you genuinely need arbitrary marketing data in a warehouse for reasons beyond attribution, or if you are consolidating finance and sales data alongside marketing.

3. Funnel

Funnel occupies the middle ground between a raw pipeline and a reporting product. It handles the ingestion and the transformation layer, with more built in around data normalization than most competitors, which is the part that eats analyst time when you are blending twelve ad accounts with inconsistent naming.

It is aimed higher up market than most Shopify brands, and pricing scales with data volume, so it is worth modeling your row counts before you talk to anyone.

4. Improvado

Improvado is the other enterprise marketing data platform that comes up in the same searches, with a similar connector footprint and a similar preference for talking to you before quoting. It leans harder into agency and multi brand use cases, where you are managing separate data sets for separate clients and need the reporting layer to stay separated too.

I wrote a fuller breakdown of that category in Improvado alternatives for marketing data aggregation, which covers the same tradeoff in more detail.

5. Fivetran

If what you actually want is a reliable pipeline into a warehouse and you have someone who can work in SQL, Fivetran is the more honest version of the thing Adverity is selling. It does not pretend to be a marketing product. It moves data from sources to destinations, it is consumption priced, and it expects you to bring your own modeling and your own BI layer.

That is a real cost. Budget for the analyst as part of the tool, because without one you will have a very clean warehouse that nobody in the business reads.

Picking between these

The question worth asking first is whether you need data moved or questions answered. If finance needs marketing spend in the same warehouse as everything else, you want a pipeline, and Fivetran or Funnel are the cleaner buys. If you are running reporting across many client accounts, Improvado and Supermetrics are built for that shape.

If you started this search because you cannot tell which channel is working, none of the pipeline tools will fix that on their own, and the shortest path is a reporting product that already knows what a Shopify order is. Whichever way you go, get the quote before you get attached. With Adverity and Improvado in particular, the number arrives late and it tends to surprise people.
