Conjura alternatives for e-commerce profit analytics

Conjura built its reputation on one idea: revenue is vanity, profit is strategy. It models true contribution profit at the SKU level, factoring in COGS, shipping, refunds, and ad spend, then hands you recommendations about which products to push and which are quietly bleeding margin. Since Wayflyer acquired it, the platform has leaned harder into omnichannel profit and Amazon, and it does not publish pricing, so you book a demo to get a number. It is a capable tool. It is also aimed at brands that have decided profit intelligence is the whole job, which is not everyone’s job.

The Wayflyer acquisition is worth factoring in. Conjura now sits inside a funding company, and its recent product energy has gone toward Amazon and profit intelligence for smaller businesses. That is fine if that direction matches yours, but it is a reason to confirm the platform still prioritizes the pieces you care about before you sign a quote-only contract.

If you want the profit-first angle without the enterprise sales motion, or you actually need attribution more than you need margin modeling, these are the alternatives I would weigh.

TrueProfit

TrueProfit is the most direct swap for a Shopify store that wants Conjura’s core promise, real net profit after every fee, without a quote-only contract. It syncs ad spend, COGS, shipping, transaction fees, and refunds into a live P&L, and it reports LTV and product-level margin. Pricing starts at $25 a month and scales with order volume, billed monthly with no annual lock-in. For most stores under a few thousand orders a month, this covers the profit question at a fraction of what a demo-gated platform will quote. I compared the field in my TrueProfit alternatives post.

BeProfit

BeProfit covers similar ground with a heavier emphasis on dashboards and custom breakdowns. It pulls the same cost inputs into profit reporting and lets you slice margin by product, order, or channel. It starts at $49 a month and scales with orders. The practical difference between it and TrueProfit is mostly interface and how much manual cost setup you are willing to do, so trial both on your real data before deciding. Neither will do the deep omnichannel modeling Conjura does, which is exactly the point if you are a single-channel Shopify brand paying for capability you will not use.

Dema

Dema is the option that actually competes with Conjura at the top of the market. It unifies orders, marketing, inventory, and customers into one AI-driven platform, and unlike most profit tools it does real marketing measurement, deterministic multi-touch attribution, marketing mix modeling, and incrementality testing, alongside forecasting for sales and inventory. That breadth comes at a price: Dema starts around 2,500 euros a month, so it is squarely a mid-market and enterprise choice. If you are a scaling brand that wants profit, measurement, and forecasting under one roof and can support the spend, it is the most complete tool here. If that number made you wince, it is not your tool yet.

ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this blog, is worth including because a lot of people shopping for a profit tool are really trying to answer a different question: which marketing actually drove the sale. Conjura tells you what a product earned. ThoughtMetric tells you where the order came from, using server-side tracking and post-purchase surveys to reconcile the ad platforms against Shopify, down to the SKU. Pricing is pageview-based, starting at $99 a month with the full platform included on every tier. If your margin math is already solid but your channel attribution is a mess, that is the gap to close, and it is a cheaper fix than a full profit-intelligence suite.

Polar Analytics

Polar Analytics rounds this out as the general BI layer that happens to cover profit alongside everything else. It centralizes Shopify, ad, email, and marketplace data into pre-built dashboards, so you get contribution metrics in the same place as acquisition and retention numbers. Polar does not list pricing on its website, so a demo is the only way to a real figure. Choose it when you want one dashboard for the whole business rather than a dedicated profit tool, and accept that the profit modeling is broad rather than as deep as a specialist like Conjura or Dema.

How to choose

The honest split is by budget and by what you are really solving. A single-channel Shopify store that wants clean net profit should start with TrueProfit or BeProfit and skip the demo calls entirely. A scaling omnichannel brand that wants profit plus measurement in one platform is looking at Dema or Conjura itself, and there the quote is unavoidable. And if you dig in and realize the actual problem is attribution rather than margin, ThoughtMetric solves that for less than any of them. Price it against your order volume and your channel count, not against the feature list, because most of these tools list features you will never touch.

About

Six years in e-commerce. Three Shopify stores across different niches, one scaled past seven figures. I’ve tested hundreds of ad creatives, obsessed over email flows, and learned more from my failures than my wins.

Now I focus on conversion optimization, retention marketing, and the analytics behind it all. This blog is where I share what actually works, backed by real numbers. No fluff, no guru energy.
