Hyros alternatives for subscription brands

Hyros built its reputation tracking long, multi-step paths for info products, coaching, and high-ticket offers, where a sale might pass through a webinar, a call, and a CRM. Subscription e-commerce has a different shape. The hard question isn’t which touch closed a sale. It’s which channel brings in subscribers who stay for six boxes instead of one. That calls for subscription app data, cohort curves, and LTV by acquisition source. Hyros pricing also scales with the revenue it tracks.

Here are the alternatives I’d look at for a subscription brand. (Disclosure: ThoughtMetric, ranked third, sponsors this site.)

1. Wicked Reports

Wicked Reports is the closest in spirit to Hyros, with lifetime lookback and lookforward, CRM integrations, and cohort and LTV reports, but it openly targets subscription e-commerce. Measure is $499 a month for brands under $2.5 million in revenue, with Scale at $699 and Maximize at $999. Its Meta CAPI and AI recommendation features are $199 add-ons below Maximize.

2. Triple Whale

Triple Whale works with Recharge and Skio and includes subscription data, cohort analysis, and a segmentation builder on Foundation, next to multi-touch attribution. Foundation is listed from $219 a month on its Shopify listing and is priced by annual GMV. The free plan covers first and last click with a 12-month lookback.

3. ThoughtMetric

ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this site, combines multi-touch attribution with post-purchase surveys and reports LTV by channel, so you can see which sources bring in subscribers worth keeping. It isn’t a dedicated subscription analytics suite, so brands that need churn analysis often pair it with one. It’s an e-commerce attribution tool for Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, and custom stores. Pricing starts at $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews, with every feature on every plan.

4. Peel Insights

Peel Insights connects Recharge, Skio, Smartrr, Stay.ai, Bold, and Awtomic, and builds 30+ cohort KPIs on top, which makes it the stronger choice for churn and retention questions. Its attribution uses UTMs. It’s priced by monthly orders: Core starts at $179 a month billed annually or $199 month to month, Essentials at $449, and Accelerate at $809, with every feature on every plan and a 7-day free trial.

5. KnoCommerce

KnoCommerce surveys can ask about channel and motivation at signup, which helps you find more subscribers like your best ones. Starter is $19 a month, Analyst $119, and Pro $299.

What subscription brands should measure

Judge channels on subscriber LTV and payback, not first-order ROAS. Track early churn by acquisition source, since steep first-box discounts often attract people who cancel after one order. Keep renewals out of channel ROAS, or email and SMS will look like they’re driving growth they’re only maintaining. And compare cohorts by start month to catch seasonal quality swings.
