Most attribution tools answer a channel question. Meta drove this much, Google drove that much, email gets its slice. That is useful until you run a catalog with more than a handful of SKUs, because the channel view hides the thing you actually merchandise around: which products marketing is driving, and at what cost. A campaign can post a respectable blended ROAS while quietly acquiring customers for your worst-margin product and starving the hero SKU that would have paid back faster. Product-level attribution is the layer that surfaces that. It is a narrower need than general attribution, and fewer tools do it well, so this list is about which platforms actually break performance down to the product rather than stopping at the channel. Pricing is current as of July 2026, and I have flagged the models that scale in ways that can surprise you.
1. Triple Whale
Triple Whale is the growth-stage default for Shopify brands, and its product analytics on the higher tiers do let you tie ad performance back to specific SKUs rather than only campaigns. The dashboard is fast, the Shopify integration is native, and its first-party pixel is the feature people actually pay for. The thing to interrogate is pricing. Plans scale with your annual GMV, so two brands on the same tier can pay very different amounts, and paid plans start around $219 a month (Foundation) and climb to roughly $749 a month (Automate) before Enterprise. Product-level breakdowns tend to live on the pricier tiers, so confirm the SKU views are included at the plan you are actually buying.
2. Polar Analytics
Polar Analytics is the tool I lean on when someone wants product and vendor performance sitting in the same view as acquisition, not bolted on as an afterthought. It pulls Shopify, the ad platforms, Klaviyo, and dozens of other sources into custom dashboards, and its first-party pixel adds a server-side attribution layer so the product-level numbers are not purely last-click. Pricing is based on monthly tracked orders and scales with GMV, starting around $720 a month for brands under roughly $5M and moving to custom above $20M. It is not cheap, but for a brand that wants merchandising and marketing data in one governed place, it earns the spend.
3. ThoughtMetric
ThoughtMetric, which sponsors this blog, is worth a serious look here specifically because product analytics is a named part of the platform rather than a premium upsell. It reports how each product performs across your full marketing mix, using multi-touch attribution rather than a deduplicated last-click model, and it works across Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce instead of Shopify only. The reason it lands mid-list for me is price-to-fit: the base plan is $99 a month for 50,000 pageviews with every feature included, scaling up to $1,000 a month across five tiers, and there are no add-ons gating the product-level views behind a higher tier. For a sub-$20M store that wants SKU-level attribution without a GMV-scaled bill, it is one of the more sensibly priced entries. As always, judge it against your own data, not the sponsor line.
4. Northbeam
Northbeam is the option for brands spending seriously, and it does surface product-level performance across SKUs alongside its multi-touch attribution and media mix modeling. The data model is frequently cited as more accurate above roughly $100,000 a month in spend, which is also where its price starts to make sense. Northbeam starts around $1,000 a month on the entry tier, priced by data volume, with Professional and Enterprise custom-quoted well above that. It also launched channel-level incrementality testing in April 2026, part of a broader shift across attribution platforms toward proving causation rather than just counting conversions. Below about $50,000 a month in paid media it is more platform than you need, and a cheaper tool gets you most of the product-level view.
5. Peel Insights
Peel Insights comes at the product question from the retention side rather than the acquisition side. Its strength is cohort, LTV, and market-basket analysis, so it tells you which products get bought together, in what sequence, and which ones actually drive repeat purchases. That is a different and complementary cut of product-level data. It is not primarily an ad-attribution tool, so I would not buy it to answer which campaign sold which SKU. Pricing runs by order volume across tiers at roughly $499, $899, and $1,799 a month, with a short free trial. Pair it with one of the attribution tools above if you want both the acquisition and the retention view of your catalog.
How to choose
The honest split is by stage and budget. If you are Shopify-only and want fast SKU views inside a familiar dashboard, Triple Whale or Polar. If you want product-level attribution across platforms without a GMV-scaled bill, ThoughtMetric is the value pick. If you are spending north of $100,000 a month and want modeling depth, Northbeam. And if the real question is which products retain rather than which acquired, Peel. None of these is a single source of truth, and anyone who sells it that way is overselling. Pick the one whose product view maps to the decision you are actually trying to make, then reconcile it against Shopify before you trust the numbers.
